Cancer. Do you have enough knowledge on it?
Mention the word cancer and everyone will get very curious. Some might shiver just by hearing it while others sound concern. It is the most dreaded word in mankind history as currently there is almost no cure for cancer. The best one can do is to put it in remissions. Nowadays, cancer is becoming more common. Almost half of my relatives have cancer, some still surviving while others have crossed over to the other parts of the world. SOme of them don't smoke and drink at all but still prone to get cancer. What a puzzle to all of us. We wouldn't feel very concern if it didn't strike someone close to us. At times, I wonder whether the world is becoming too polluted for human survival. Do you think you have enough knowledge on cancer prevention? I guess you know that tobacco is the number one cause for cancer. Sometimes you might wonder why people who don't smoke also get cancer. When it comes to tobacco, people only think about smokers. But what about non-smoker? Passive smokers risk of getting cancer become double if they live with a smoker. So you can see here non-smokers stand a very high risk of getting cancer as well by inhaling the tobacco smoke in their daily life. We all enjoy a couple of good drink after work. It is fine as long as it is not excessive. Guess you don't know this! Excessive drinking can boost up your chance in acquiring cancer. A smoker who is also a heavy drinker increases cancer risk by ten folds and become a very good candidate for developing cancer.Even though this information is made available to you right now, you won't stop smoking and drinking immediately as I know habit is very difficult to change. In order to lower the risk of cancer, you still can smoke and take alcohol at a moderate level. But for those of you who are concerned with your family members's health, it is best if you don't smoke near them as you are putting them in a higher risk to cancer. |
